Appropriate Parenting Age???

I haven't had the time to write for a while, Quantum works! I think we have found the human enough coder that we were looking for.

But this is not the issue that I wanted to share to day. The thing is this particular topic came up last week on the news and has been behind my thoughts all week. Angered and really bothered me. It’s just more evidence that I live in a f…. ‘ed up country that has a bent system which actually don't help anyone.

OK, the story goes like this:
There is an orphan. A little girl that has been in the foster care system and living with a good family. After two years of love, care and being a family on emotional basis, the system found this little girl a family to adopt her. They removed the girl from the foster parents, with police force, and gave the little girl to another family; severely traumatizing the little girl and the foster mum and dad.

The reason for this mess that the system is leaning on?
-The foster parents were too old to adopt the girl ……. Excuse me !!!!!

The foster parents were in their forties. They were eligible to be foster parents; to love, care for and call the little girl daughter while she called them mum and dad. But they were not eligible to be legal adoptive parents. They were not even given the chance to adopt the girl they cared for for two years. All this because of age !!!!!

The system's logic - There is a certain age difference limit between the kid and the parents. In the long run, they claim, it is damaging to the mental health and development of the child.

OK, this is really f….’ed up! I mean honestly, we are in the 21 st century… if this is the mentality in this country, then ban all artificial treatments to have babies because most of the people who are using artificial insemination are choosing to become parents in their forties.

Tell our prime minister to stop encouraging his followers to have at least three kids.
If having an age difference is damaging to the kid, I am asking you, ‘how does what you have done affect the kid?'

This little girl is orphaned again, this time by the system set up to protect her. Traumatized and abused……Thanks to you, your mentality, and the laws that it created and we have to live by.

Lets look at a woman who cared for this child as a mother, loved her, not abused her in any way and called her her own. I saw her on the news and couldn't bare to look at her or the news footage. She and her husband asking the officials to give their daughter back. She and her husband traumatized and abused ……Thanks to you, your mentality, and the laws that it created and we have to live by.

Who can blame my decent people who decline, when you ask them if they would become foster parents to kids that are in need. You, the system, do not even subsidize their livelihood when they agree to add a mouth to feed and a child to dress to their household overnight.

Adopting them is out of the question cause you might be over forty!

Who can blame these individuals when they decline to be responsible adults for kids who are in need if they are going to be abused like this by the system.

What comes out of this situation is the truth of my country. People who care are not given the chance to care. People who don’t care are allowed to show off to society, or the media, by posing for one or two days of the year.

Don’t create laws that apply to 21 st century; lets stay at the dark ages of a thousand years ago as social mentality. There are so many topics that I can write about this controversy.
When I make a list, I am ashamed to call myself a proud citizen of this country for what it has become.

Hoping for HUMANE change,

Ghost
